Peggy Ip

Engineer Scientist, ES&DG
Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI)

Peggy Ip is an Engineer Scientist with the Electric Power Research Institute. Her research focus is on system integration and deployment challenges, and grid services analysis of energy storage systems and fueled distributed generation. She is actively involved with many techno-economic analyses for customer-sited and grid scale energy storage projects. She recently led projects on the evaluation of the value of distributed generation assets, including combined heat and power systems, and the assessment of gaps in flexible operation capabilities from distributed generation systems. She received a M.S. in mechanical engineering from UCLA and B.S. in mechanical engineering from the UC San Diego.
