Di Wu is a Staff Engineer in Electricity Infrastructure and Buildings Division at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL).  He received a Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from Iowa State University, Ames, in 2012. At PNNL, Dr. Wu leads the research work on modeling and analysis of energy storage for power system applications and characterization and control of flexible building loads for grid and end-user services. Dr. Wu’s other research work include distributed control for grid and building applications, water-energy nexus, and advanced grid analytics using high-performance computing. Dr. Wu is a Senior Member of IEEE and a member of the IEEE Power and Energy Society and the Control System Society. He serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Power and Energy Technology Systems Journal.  He is a co-Chair of working group on Microgrid Business and Use Case Development, and a former secretary of working group on Economics of Energy Storage in IEEE Power and Energy Society.
