Ben Ealey

Ben Ealey is a Sr. Project Manager in EPRI’s Information and Communication for DER/DR program and leads EPRI’s research area focused on operational technologies for distributed energy resources. His focus is research on the evolving needs for interoperable communication technologies, standards, architectures, and methodologies to support communications with smart solar, storage, and loads. The goal is to help utilities and their customers to maximize the benefit of these systems while easing integration and long-term O&M. Since he joined EPRI in 2008, he has worked with teams at EPRI including energy utilization, field demonstrations and deployments, photovoltaics, distribution systems, information and communication technologies, and power quality. Ben’s work has appeared in over fifty publications in these areas. Ben holds a MS and BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
