Anthony Viardo

Anthony Viardo is the Vice President of Strategic Marketing for the U.S. Energy Storage Association (ESA). Prior to joining ESA, Anthony served as Director of Marketing and Communications at the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) where, as a member of the management team, he helped relaunch the NACWA brand; build the comprehensive marketing, outreach and external communications function; and increase membership growth. He also previously served as Director of Marketing with the Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA). Anthony brings a unique commercial marketing perspective to non-profit advocacy work, having had extensive marketing and communications experience in the publishing industry, expanding markets and outreach for publishing houses such as Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster, and Sourcebooks, Inc.—which grew from a small to a large publisher, entering a partnership with Penguin Random House. Tony began his career as a television journalist, after earning master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland.
