Allison Auld-Hill is the Engineering Manager for Reactive Devices & FACTS within the Asset Management and Strategy Engineering organization at Southern California Edison (SCE). Her group is responsible for the specification, technical analysis, and ongoing O&M support for many substation assets within SCE, including shunt and series capacitors, FACTS, synchronous condensers, gas-insulated substations, and instrumentation. She also has prior experience at SCE conducting hardware-in-the-loop tests for new distribution and transmission system technologies prior to field commissioning. Allison received a Ph.D. from University of California, Irvine with her dissertation “An Asset-Based Interconnection Paradigm for Distribution System Energy Resources” in 2010. She also received an M.S. degree from University of California, Irvine in 2007 and a B.S. degree from Harvey Mudd College in 2004. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of California.
